Recently I’ve been looking at fun ideas to do with the family. With all the busy-ness of the week it’s so nice to get a relaxing break at the weekend. We try to do things together every weekend if we can, if not every other. I feel it’s important to spend this kind of quality time together and treasure the time we do have together. Here’s some of the fun things I’ve found to do with the family:

The Zoo!

I have to admit, I probably enjoy the zoo as much as the children I love seeing the different species of animals. We recently went to Chester Zoo and it was amazing, they has a beautiful Butterfly Zone with them flying around you, it was such a great experience. Breathtaking! The kids learn a lot too which is great, last time we were there we got to see some Baby Tiger Cubs getting Fed, it was lovely.

Ice Cream Heaven! The Ice Cream Farm

A couple weeks back we visited the Ice Cream factory near us which was such a lovely day out, it was a kind of Ice Cream farm where they had lovely baby animals that the kids could interact with and pet, a cafe for the adults and a traditional ice cream shop where you could see how the ice cream was made from the cow to the tasting! We got to eat lot’s of delicious ice cream to, yummy! The kids loved it.

The Big Screen!

We love going to the cinema as a family, it’s a great trip out, we may stop for some food too to make more of a day of it, it’s great because it’s an all-weather activitiy, very useful in this country! We tend to go to the earlier showings to avoid the busy-adult times. We go for the family friendly films too like disneys Cars! Loved it.
